For over 70 years, our diversified companies have been part of a Group with a Core Business in the packaging industry. We were born as a family company an entrepreneur once dreamed. Today, our third generation sits on the Board of a regional diversified Group.
Our history begins as a Slovenian immigrant’s dream, Herman Zupan, who arrived from post-war Europe in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. His strong vocation and knowledge of graphic arts, derived from a fine family tradition, inspired him to set up a small printing house. Encouraged by his entrepreneurial and visionary spirit, in 1950, he opened a modest graphic workshop in the province of Buenos Aires. Years later, that workshop would turn into Interpack, a leading company in the manufacture of paperboard folding cartons that brought HZ Group into existence.
By virtue of its clear and strategic vision of vertical integration and diversified business, the Group acquired industrial companies that became leaders in their segments.
